Refund Policy

Refund rules for Meigen subscriptions, lifetime access, and credit purchases

Introduction

This Refund Policy explains how Meigen handles refund requests for subscriptions, lifetime access, one-time purchases, and credit packages. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Meigen provides digital AI generation services based on credits and computing resources. Because AI generation costs are incurred when credits are used, consumed credits are not refundable.

7-Day Refund Window

You may request a refund within 7 calendar days of the original purchase or renewal date.

If the request is approved, the refundable amount is calculated based on unused paid credits or unused paid access associated with that order. Credits already used, expired, gifted, promotional, or bonus credits are not refundable.

Refund requests submitted more than 7 calendar days after purchase or renewal are not eligible for a refund unless required by applicable law or approved by Meigen for a verified billing or technical issue.

Proportional Refunds for Credit-Based Purchases

For credit packages or paid plans where credits are the primary delivered value, approved refunds are calculated based on unused paid credits:

Refund amount = (order price / paid credits delivered) x unused paid credits

Example:

  • Order price: $29.90
  • Paid credits delivered: 400
  • Paid credits used: 100
  • Unused paid credits: 300
  • Refund amount: $29.90 / 400 x 300 = $22.43

Refund amounts may be rounded to two decimal places. Taxes, payment processing fees, currency conversion differences, and bank charges may not be refundable where they are not returned to Meigen by the payment provider.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal. You may cancel future renewals from the billing page or by contacting support.

For subscription purchases or renewals, refunds are available only within the 7-day refund window and only for the unused portion of paid credits or paid access associated with the current billing period. If you cancel a subscription without requesting a refund, your paid access generally remains active until the end of the current billing period.

Unused credits may expire or be forfeited according to the plan terms shown in your account or checkout page.

Lifetime Access and One-Time Purchases

Lifetime access is a one-time purchase for premium access and recurring monthly credits. It is not an unlimited usage plan.

Lifetime access and other one-time purchases may be eligible for a proportional refund within 7 calendar days of purchase based on unused paid credits or unused paid access. After 7 calendar days, these purchases are final except where required by law or approved for a verified billing or technical issue.

Non-Refundable Items

The following are not refundable:

  • credits that have already been used for AI generation or related workflows;
  • expired credits;
  • free, bonus, gifted, trial, or promotional credits;
  • subjective dissatisfaction with generated style, quality, prompt interpretation, or creative direction after generation has been delivered;
  • user error, including incorrect prompts, incorrect settings, accidental generations, or misunderstanding feature behavior;
  • unused time or credits after the 7-day refund window;
  • accounts suspended or terminated for abuse, fraud, illegal activity, chargeback abuse, or violation of the Terms of Service.

Technical Issues, Duplicate Charges, and Unauthorized Payments

We may offer a refund, credit restoration, or other remedy if we verify that:

  • you were charged twice for the same order;
  • an unauthorized or fraudulent payment occurred;
  • Meigen failed to deliver purchased credits or paid access because of a technical issue caused by Meigen;
  • a generation failed due to a verified platform-side issue and credits were incorrectly consumed.

We may request additional information to investigate these cases.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@meigen.cc within 7 calendar days of purchase or renewal and include:

  • the subject line "Refund Request";
  • your registered account email;
  • order number, invoice ID, or transaction ID;
  • purchase date;
  • the reason for the request;
  • any relevant screenshots or error details.

We aim to review refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are usually processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days, depending on Stripe, your bank, or your payment provider.

Chargebacks and Disputes

Please contact support before initiating a chargeback so we can investigate and resolve billing issues. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension, loss of credits, or recovery of associated costs where permitted by law.

Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes apply from the date they are posted unless a different effective date is stated.
